Didn't work?!?!

I don't know whether it was just my computer (if so sorry for voting 0) but this didn't seem to work!

BlueGasMask responds:

it must be your computer, i downloaded it, and it worked. sorry it didn't work for you.

Not too sure about the vocal...

Its a nice track man, I like! But i'm not too sure about the vocals, they seem a bit... i don't know... struggled. I like the part with the overlayed higher scream. Don't get me wrong, good screaming vocals are hard to preform, but I felt the vocals here could have just done with a little more roar.

Nice piece man, you create a decent sound.

James

GoreBastard responds:

Cheers mate. Yeah after listening to it a few more times myself, I know what people mean about the vocals. They do sound a bit shit on this one don't they. I can do better, I must have been ill or something, plus my mic sucks balls, so the quality is crap too.
I think the best song I've done with vocals was "Killed Again". For some reason my vocals actually sounded quite good on that one, but I havn't been able to capture that sound again. I suck!

Cheers for checking it out mate!

10/10... I never give 10/10!

This is a wicked tune man. I like what you did with all aspects of this piece. You've deffinatly got a lot of talent. I'm loving what you've done with the organ, so funky.

This really is worthy of 10/10!

Good Effort,

James

WinTang responds:

Cheers man! Thanks for your kind words and ratings!

Yeah was kinda cool

I'm not really sure what to offer as a critisism but i'd probably say it sounded a little weak in the middle. It never probably climaxed. If you maybe added a hi-hat part of something that could help.

I really liked the beginning build up, pretty technoy, but i personally though it lost a bit of interest afterwards.

Over all a nice effort.

James

Mrxtreem85 responds:

Thank you for you oppinion. I did'nt really like the ending myself (i admit, i got lazy =P). I'll try harder in getting some "climax" in my next sub or in the remaster of this 1.
Best regards

Good tune!

If i'm honest, i'm not a great fan of the hi-hat at the biggening of the tune. But it seems to work much better with the whole beat.

This song was very exciting. I'm trying to critisise your work as to generally help you out a bit, but I really can't. Maybe song dark vocals over the top could work.

Great tune, keep composing,

James

dj-padman1 responds:

You know, as soon as I heard this track playing on Newgrounds, I know I had made a serious boo-boo with that hat! I'm a seriously slow learner, it's not funny :P
If you think it's exciting, I'm pretty stoked! And I'll definately be doing some vocal experimentation in the near future.
Thanks again for another most welcome review.

TUNE!

Wicked tune man. But your right, it can't be good because it isn't numa numa or whatever the hell its called.

Really well put together, and well mixed. I've probably asked before but software do you use? I just wish I could compose stuff like this, as it is completely what i'm into.

Thanks for another awesome tune!

James

dj-padman1 responds:

We all missed you during your absence Jimbob!
This was done in Ableton Live, and I reckon you'd have a blast with it. You haven't lived till you've tried Live's timstretching and automation of clips, I'm telling you...grab the demo someday, it's pretty much fully functional.
Thanks for taking the time to listen and review, I appreciate it greatly :)

Good house

Good house tune man. It would be great to see you make it big! Have you tried www.beakpick.com? It may be worth composing a couple of songs to send to them.

Well done, James

dj-padman1 responds:

Hmm..haven't heard about that one, I must check it out!. Thanks for the lead, and I don't want to doubt you, but is it beatpick, not beakpick?
Wow, it would be great to be a little bit more succesful with music. Then I could probably feed and clothe myself at some basic level! :)
Thanks for another review, always a pleasure.

B... WHAT?

What the hell are you going on about? B...? WTF!!! I mean what is B meant to mea... Wait I get it now. I totally understand! B is the second letter of the alphabet and therefore resembles our second hand nature to society. 'B' is not only a letter, its a life style!

Sorry I doubted you.

mr-Ex-noob responds:

you just keep telling yourself that....

What story? Hmmm

I see a small village hospital with a young boy watching his mother die over her death bed after being attacked. When the snare rolls in and the bell ring. It's like this boy has now grown up and is set on his way to avenging his mothers death. I don't know but thats the image I got.

I really liked this piece, keep it up.

James

MaestroSorrow responds:

many thanks Jimbobsthebest. I plan to keep it up ^^.

Thanks for sharing the story the song gave you.

This is why I dislike midi!

Prime example of how such beautiful music is distroyed by MIDI sounds. You have so much potential mate so i'm just pleased I could help you out with this one. It just sounds alot richer!

Good work, James

MusicalRocky responds:

Yes, it does. It sounds great. Thanks a lot. I am hoping to soon fix my midi dilemma (probably spelled that wrong).
Thanks again. And thanks for reviewing again.

How about those bad boy glasses? Minimal style music composer. Reviews always welcome, cheers.
